I’ve been a little down these last two years. Artificial “intelligence” companies have trawled the internet for material to train their models. I call it stealing, and it’s been going on for many years now seemingly without consequences. These AI data centers not only demand a huge amount of energy, but also waste drinking water in the areas they’re established in order to cool down their processors.

I have realized anything I publish on this blog will likely be used in the training of these models. While I photograph mostly live shows and events that AI can’t really generate, I hate AI so much. If we used it to, I don’t know, detect various types of cancer at an early stage and map out protein structures and shit, it’d be a good thing. Instead, we use it to generate fake porn and stupid videos of dancing cats.

Fuck, I hate this future we’re creating for ourselves.
