Victors celebrate with champagne after the Norwegian Beach Volley Championship.

Norwegian Beach Volley Championship 2025

I was hired by Norges Volleyballforbund to photograph the Norwegian Championship in beach volleyball four weeks ago, and it was a blast as expected. Some of Norway’s highest skilled beach volleyball players gathered in Oslo for a weekend of massive spikes, huge blocks, deep digs and sandy fun. Olympic legends from Tokyo 2021, Anders Mol and Christian Sørum, had signed up, but Christian suffered a small injury just ahead of the tournament, so Andy played with Christian’s brother Aleksander. The highlight must have been then losing the quarterfinals against Hendrik Mol and Mathias Berntsen who would later become victors. Emilie Olimstad and Ingrid Lunde won the women’s finals in a tight three setter.
